What is kevin john edusei?

Kevin John Edusei is a Ghanaian-German conductor, born on July 10, 1976, in Hamburg, Germany. He first studied violin and piano before attending the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music in Berlin. He then studied conducting at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna and earned a diploma from the University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre & Dance.

Edusei has conducted numerous orchestras and ensembles, including the Munich Symphony Orchestra, Konzerthausorchester Berlin, Stuttgart Radio Symphony Orchestra, Royal Scottish National Orchestra, The BBC Philharmonic, WDR Symphony Orchestra Cologne, and The Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen. He has also conducted opera productions at the Bayerische Staatsoper and the Deutsche Oper Berlin.

Edusei serves as the Chief Conductor of the Munich Symphony Orchestra since the 2014/15 season and has been awarded several international prizes and scholarships, including the Lutosławski-Conducting-Competition and the German Conductors’ Award. He has also been a guest conductor at festivals including the BBC Proms, Salzburg Easter Festival, Blossom Music Festival, and others.
